About
About the blog
This blog is written mainly by me, Suw Charman-Anderson, with occasional posts from my lovely husband, Kevin. Our dream is to one day build ourselves an eco- and cat-friendly house, although we have no idea where we’re going to build it! I’m British and Kevin is American, and both countries look attractive as places to settle, although it’s true to say that America is probably better value for money right now, and there are some fabulous towns I would love to live in. On the other hand, the UK has some astonishingly beautiful countryside which is very different to its American equivalent. (There are less castles and Tudor half-timbered houses in the US, for starters!)
As for cats, well, my cat Fflwff now lives with my parents down in Dorset, because our flat in London is far too small for a cat. (You know your flat is small when even the gasman comments on it’s diminutive size.) But Kevin and I look forward to the day when we can have some cats of our own, or at least foster cats for the local cat rescue centre.
More about us
Suw
Suw Charman-Anderson is a social software consultant and writer who specialises in the use of blogs and wikis behind the firewall. With a background in journalism, publishing and web design, Suw is now one of the UK’s best known bloggers, frequently speaking at conferences and seminars.
Please don’t email Suw. All we are getting are stupid press releases about sexually frustrated birds, so I’m taking the email address down. If you’re a PR person, please read the page specifically for PR people before attempting to get in touch.
Kevin
Kevin Charman-Anderson has been an online journalist since 1996, designing, editing and writing websites for both broadcast and print media. In 1998, he joined the BBC and became their first online journalist based outside of the UK, covering the US for its award winning news website. After coming to the UK in 2005, he developed a blogging strategy for BBC news, helped launch a programme on the BBC’s 5Live covering weblogs and podcasts and was on the team that launched the interactive radio programme World Have Your Say on the BBC World Service.
Kevin is now the Blogs Editor for The Guardian, where he is responsible for management, strategy and ‘leading by doing’ for Guardian Unlimited blogs.
